Peg Solitaire is a simple game with hidden depths. It has, through the centuries, attracted the interest of mathematicians from Liebnitz to Berlekamp.
Several board configurations exist. Peggy uses the English board, which is the most well known.
The game is always called Peg Solitaire, even though the game pieces are more likely to be marbles than pegs. In this version, the pegs can be dragged, or selected and moved.
In each move, a peg jumps over a neighboring peg along the horizontal or vertical to an empty hole. The jumped peg is removed. There are many versions of this game on the web. Try this one.
The game starts with one peg missing from the center. The objective is to remove all the pegs but one. In a perfect solution, the one remaining peg is in the very center. The game ends when no more plays can be made.
